Q: For PlaceWin-on-the-Web does IT Resources host our data on its server?
A:We do not host your data. You keep it on your server at your site. PlaceWin-on-the-Web uses a browser and an Internet connection to your server for you to access your data from anywhere. We recommend you have a static IP address and use SSL encryption for data transmission. Your Network professional or IT Resources Consulting can assist you is setting up a webserver at your site.
Q: Is there a limit to the number of candidates, companies, or contacts we can have?
A: Practically speaking, no. If you have more than half a million candidates, companies, or contacts and more than 20 concurrent users, you may experience slower than normal response times.
Q: Is there a way to dial calls directly from PlaceWin?
A: Yes. Press the F12 key on your keyboard when in either a candidate or company view. In the case of candidates, the home number will be dialed. In the case of companies, the company main number will be dialed. Alternatively, you can double click on any telephone number and it will be dialed. Naturally, you will need a modem on your computer with an analog telephone line attached. The dialer will not work with digital phone systems. Check out the Shortcuts Help for more tips.
